                                                             About Us

Alexis Baker

Alexis has 30 years of riding experience and 19 years of teaching experience. Alexis has her American Riding Instructors Association Certificate in both Eventing and Dressage. Alexis has also received her bronze and silver medals from USEA at Training level. Alexis enjoys working with all levels of riders and especially enjoys bringing along green horses for lower level eventing and dressage!

In 2004, Alexis began working as an apprentice and training with German Grand Prix trainer Patrizia Brooks at the Dressage Center at High Meadows. While with Patrizia, Alexis was fully immersed in all aspects of riding and training horses from starting them under saddle to working with well school Grand Prix horses.

In 2006, Alexis moved to Florida and began teaching at Pitts Farm Equestrian Center. While in Florida Alexis had the opportunity to ride and train with Gold Medalist Jodie Kelly and Gold medalist and USDF judge Joanne Rasmussen. In the fall of 2009, Alexis was offered the head trainer position at Forever Sky Ranch. Alexis made the move to this new position and now had the ability to offer full time instruction and training for her clients.

In 2010, Alexis' husband Michael was given new orders that sent them overseas to Okinawa, Japan. While in Japan Alexis was able to continue her training at Mihara Horse Club. While there Alexis helped to teach clinics, judge horse shows, and continue her teaching and riding. Alexis learned a lot from the Japanese and American riding instructors and also had the opportunity to have a Japanese Olympic Coach ride her training horse and give feed back on his training.

In 2011, Alexis and Michael purchased their first farm in Princeton, Ma. While in Princeton Alexis trained with Stephie Baer and Bill McMullen. Alexis also started teaching at Camp Marshall in Spencer, Ma. While at Camp Marshall, Alexis became the lead riding instructor and coach for the Camp Marshall Equestrian Team.ael

In 2017 Alexis and Michael moved to Trenton IL, purchasing their second farm.  While in Illinois Alexis built a very successful eventing program which allowed Alexis and her students to travel around the majority of the Midwest for events.  Alexis was also the 2019 Pony Club eventing coaching attending Pony Club Rally and National Championships for Eventing, Dressage, and Jumpers.

Alexis has worked with many accomplished trainers such as Nick Larkin, Boyd Martin, Bill Warren, Bill McMullin, Jaralyn Gibson, Stephanie Baer, Dom Schramm, Jimmie Schramm, Packy McGaughan, Phillip Dutton, Buck Davidson, Clark Montgomery, Joanne Rasmussen, Patricia Brooks, and Jodie Kelly. As well as Alexis’ riding accomplishments she has also judged many local schooling shows in Illinois, Virginia, Massachusetts, Florida, and Japan. She has also enjoyed teaching clinics for local barns and especially loves working with young riders in both Pony Club and 4H.

Alexis is currently in Bushnell, FL and is available for training, lessons, and clinics.  Alexis also regularly travels back to Illinois for clinics.
